The Embedos Maxwell ( EM Series ) is an Expansion IO Card that is designed to expand the functionality of the Embedos Master device.

By increasing the number of IO’s / Serial ports on distributed devices interconnected with each other over Wired / Wireless mediums, Multiple EM’s can be connected to a Master device in a modular fashion.

Highlights!

  • The Embedos Maxwell device, also abbreviated as EM Series is a Modbus / CANBUS Expansion IO Card and has an inbuilt Embedded Web Server, to display values of the logged data on a Web Browser running on  the device itself. It can behave as a group of IO Cards, or as an independent Edge device.

 

  • The web page can be used to configure the device as a gateway, setup RTC, and also run custom Web Apps on it. Same data can be logged and downloaded in csv / pdf files based on a Date & time range selection.

 

  • Additional Storage Feature of a retractible SD card is also given to log data directly in csv format.

 

  • The Board comes with 2 Options of Digital Outputs: 7 nos Digital Outputs ( NPN Type Solid State ) / 7 nos SSR outputs. This enables users to drive more logic from the board like switch On Hooters, or LED’s etc.

 

  • The Embedos Maxwell Edge Device _ EM is also enabled with 1 RS-485 port & 1 CAN port to enable serial communication to and from the device.

 

  • The Embedos Maxwell Edge Device _ EM comes with 4 Analog Inputs ( 4-20mA / 0-10V DC ) , 1 Analog Output & 6 Digital Inputs to give a wide array of field interface options.

 

  • The Embedos Maxwell Edge Device _ EM can send out data to any remote server on MQTT or any other acceptable IOT Protocol using a Sim Card on 2G / 3G / 4G Connectivity making it a perfect IoT gateway.

 

  • The Embedos Maxwell Edge Device _ EM has the capability to generate a Wifi hotspot and also connect to a Wifi. It enables data transfer on 4G / Wi-Fi on major protocols like Modbus TCP & OPC / UA, MQTT and keeping in mind secure data transmission, MQTT with TLS & HTTPS.

  • Through this Wifi, the Embedos Maxwell Edge Device _ EM can get connected to any internet network, and send data out. Once connected to the network, any user connected to the same network can access the Web Page that is embbedded on Web Server on EM, and access / control this data in real time.

 

  • The Embedos Maxwell Edge Device _ EM can create a wifi enabled hotspot, meaning it can create its own local network for users to connect to. In cases where networks are unavailable, EM’s hotspot is switched on by default for users to access the web page directly, on their phones / laptops / desktops etc.

 

  • Multiple EM’s can either behave as slaves to a master device, or in themselves behave as independent master devices transmitting data on any output mechanism of 4G or Wifi.
